Program Support Coordinator - Community Engagement Services

Responsibilities include managing volunteer and internship programs, expanding services, engaging potential volunteers, and collaborating with academic institutions to offer community-based service-learning experiences for student interns. The role also involves creating a sustainable infrastructure to support an active volunteer system, and daily implementation of parent support, family engagement, and children's programming throughout Maryland. The lead coordinator provides technical assistance for Maryland's Chapter of the Circle of Parents National, with responsibilities guided by Circle of Parents National standards and the agency's strategic plan. Supervising staff and developing program sites and partnerships across the state are also included.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess current methods of volunteer recruitment, training, placement, and retention.
• Develop and implement strategies to recruit and screen volunteers and interns for all programs.
• Develop partnerships with universities, colleges, non-profits, and the business community to support professional development of staff, volunteers, interns, and Parent Leaders.
• Recommend annually a budget to support program activities and services.
• Work in a cooperative and professional manner with staff, Board members, and donors.
