Position Overview

The Soldier Team Staff Synchronization Officer (SSO) will provide expert-level support to the Force Development Directorate's Soldier Division within HQDA DCS G-8. This key role supports Army equipment modernization and strategic planning efforts across portfolios including Soldier Protection, Lethality, Survivability, and Soldier Systems Integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform requirements development, validation, and prioritization in support of Army modernization.
• Analyze and support JCIDS documentation (ICD, CDD, A-CDD, etc.) and Operational Needs Statements (ONS).
• Develop investment and resourcing options for Army and Joint programs.
• Support PPBE and POM development, including SPAR briefings and program reviews.
• Coordinate with ASA(ALT), TRADOC, AFC, AMC, FORSCOM, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver briefings, EXSUMs, and information papers for senior Army leaders.
• Maintain situational awareness of assigned programs and provide rapid response analysis.
• Support equipment allocation planning and distribution coordination with ASC (LMI).
• Respond to RFIs and support Congressional testimony preparation.
