Manager, Shopper Insights
The Manager, Shopper Insights will lead and execute research initiatives that uncover consumer attitudes, shopping behaviors, and product perceptions to support strategic marketing decisions. This role plays a critical part in guiding brand strategy, communication development, and media planning by delivering actionable insights that inform how consumers engage with Cuisinart products across the path to purchase. The position reports to the Head of Consumer & Shopper Insights and partners closely with Marketing, Digital, and Media teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute research plans and conduct qualitative and quantitative consumer research to uncover consumer insights, trends in consumer and shopper behavior and their perceptions about our products and our brand.
- Develop surveys and questionnaires using industry-standard platforms to capture consumer feedback and validate marketing strategies. Lead testing of concepts, claims and consumer communication, as well as brand health tracking and shopper behavior and purchase journey.
- Translate consumer insights and feedback, including latent needs, into recommendations for brand communications, media and retail sell-in. Monitor consumer perception and expectations around brand experience and shopper behavior.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and consumer sentiment to inform strategic marketing planning. Analyze data to identify trends, preferences, and opportunities for brand growth and campaign optimization.
- Expertly synthesizes insights to communicate the bigger picture with a focus on strategic influence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align research with brand positioning, campaign development, and digital strategy.
- Operates autonomously and as a Subject Matter Expert within the consumer insights team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.35 years of experience in consumer insights, shopper research, or marketing analytics.Strong skills in survey design, data analysis, and storytelling.Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts) and PowerPoint.Familiarity with shopper journey mapping, segmentation, and media effectiveness studies.Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Skills
Familiarity with research platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Conjointly, Zappi).Experience in consumer packaged goods or durable goods market research.Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization tools.Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time. This role requires Stamford, CT office on-site presence Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere on Fridays.
