Position description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Davis Health System seeks to recruit a full-time Gynecologic Oncologist.

The position will be recruited at the Assistant or Associate Professor Rank in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor or Clinical X series based on experience and qualifications.

Applicants must possess an MD or DO from an accredited medical school and have or be eligible to obtain a California Medical License.

Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Applicants must be completing or have completed an accredited fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology and be subspecialty board certified or eligible.

Chosen candidate is required to have experience in Gynecologic Oncology outpatient care including chemotherapy and surgery with oversight of residents and fellows.

Experience having direct involvement with students, residents and fellows in core curriculum and clinical teaching is required.

Applicant must have experience with training fellows, residents and medical students and training and experience in research specific to women's cancers.

Applicant is preferred to have research experience with active research programs (including basic or translational science or clinical research (including clinical trials).

Applicants must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment and be able to adhere to policies and procedures.

Salary and level of appointment will be based upon experience and qualifications.

This recruitment is conducted at the Assistant / Associate rank. The resulting hire will be at the Assistant / Associate rank, regardless of the proposed appointee's qualifications.
