Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist with inpatient rehab and acute care experience, current MA OT license, and travel background required.
Responsibilities
Work in an inpatient rehab setting with coverage in acute care adult behavioral health unitsPatients include adults in behavioral health and acute care environmentsPart of a multidisciplinary rehab team8-hour day shifts, 5 days per weekNo on-call requiredEMR is Epic; Epic experience required for most unitsEvaluates and treats patients in inpatient, acute, and behavioral health settingsProvides both individual and group OT treatmentsSupports quality care, safety, performance improvement, and cultural competenceMay supervise students and support staffBi-weekly orientation is providedScrubs of any color are acceptableBlock scheduling is not allowedRTO must be requested before contract; no more than 5 days allowedFirst-time travelers are not eligibleLocal candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rateRequirements
Current Massachusetts OT license required if applicableDegree in Occupational Therapy (BS / MS / OTD)AHA BLS certification requiredMinimum recent travel experience requiredInpatient behavioral health experience preferredNew grads may be consideredEpic EMR experience required for most assignmentsTwo recent references from managers or supervisors within specialtyBenefits
