Custodial Assistant

The ISU Athletics Department has part-time job opportunities for non-student facilities and custodial assistant positions. We are looking for people that are reliable, detail-oriented, and honest. Our facilities team provides essential services that support assigned buildings and events hosted by the Athletics Department to ensure a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and guests. This is a great side job. These positions perform routine, unskilled manual labor to assist in a temporary capacity (less than 780 hours per fiscal year). Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks and effectively interact with others in a customer service-oriented role.

Schedule : Approximately 10 am - 2 pm. Need to be able to work at least 3 days per week. Weekday and weekends shifts available.

Wage : Typical starting pay is $14.00 / hr. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

• Check and restock restrooms.
• Assist with clean-up tasks during events and / or restoring the building after events.
• Assist custodians in the upkeep of facilities such as : wipe up spills; clean floors; power wash; empty trash bins or pick up debris; disinfect surfaces; clean glass surfaces; help maintain locker rooms, bathrooms, offices, and common spaces; etc.
• Assist with moving furniture or equipment.
• General labor tasks as assigned.
