Shipping and Receiving Associate

Job Summary :

Responsible for correctly processing customer orders with accuracy and timely shipping. Receiving, stocking, and counting inventory.

Familiar of warehouse setup, inventory knowledge and location. Safely operate warehouse machines and equipment. Ability to communicate efficiently with team and maintain a positive attitude.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

• Receives incoming freight and checks the material for damage or shortages using Trulinx scanners.
• Distributes material to the proper stock locations.
• Fills special orders and / or backorders as material is received.
• Follows-up with appropriate departments, carriers, and / or vendors on receiving discrepancies, damages, and shortages; scans all packing list and paperwork into Image Quest.
• Checks and packs material to be delivered.
• Facilitate strategies to complete all delivery methods accurately and efficiently.
• Maintains clean and safe workstations and throughout the warehouse.
• Maintains assigned inventory stock locations making sure the material that is put away has the correct locator and the shelves are kept neat and orderly.
• Assures all batched managed material is labeled accurately and inventoried, as needed.
• Efficiently tag and mark all hoses and ensure they are put in the correct location neatly.
• Actively learn and become familiar with all parts / products.
• Load and unload products from delivery service.
• Operates and maintains all equipment in a safe manner and adheres to all company policies and safety rules.
• Notify supervisor of any building or equipment maintenance, repair needs and / or any security concerns.
• Willingness to be flexible, including working overtime, on-call, and performing responsibilities not specifically identified in the job description and assuming new responsibilities for the betterment of Austin Hose.

Job Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 1-3+ years’ warehouse experience, including forklift operation.
• Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with Austin Hose warehouse operations, products, and software.
• Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner and listen attentively to others.
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship with TEAM.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers / peers / supervisors.
• Ability to safely lift 50lbs or more.
• Attentive to detail and ensure accuracy.
• Must be able to pass random drug test.
