We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a dynamic construction company in Englewood, Colorado. This is a contract position where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial processes and ensuring accuracy in reporting. The role requires a strong background in accounting practices and proficiency in tools such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities :
- Manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to support organizational financial health.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
- Handle account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as they arise.
- Post and review journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between internal records and external statements.
- Utilize QuickBooks, including QuickBooks Enterprise, to manage accounting tasks and streamline processes.
- Leverage Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and generate reports.
- Support financial statement audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance accounting workflows and improve efficiency.
- Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close and general ledger management.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and account reconciliation practices.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, including QuickBooks Enterprise, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies effectively.
- Familiarity with audit procedures and compliance standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
