To support our growth in the US, Midea is expanding its research and innovation capabilities at Midea America Research Center (MARC).
With this objective, MARC seeks a Product Development Structural Engineer for our Vacuum Products.
Essential Job Responsibilities :
1. Responsible for the scheme design and structural design of products, ensuring the rationality and reliability of new product structures.
2. Drive early to mid-stage concept validation for innovative product platforms and features, collaborating with Suzhou team to verify manufacturability.
3. Participate in the early user insight evaluation of innovative product concepts and prototypes.
4. Assist in the final implementation of innovative product platforms and features in Suzhou.
5. Iterate products and features through the full cycle performance of innovative products and features.
Qualifications :
1. Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical engineering, mold design, materials science, or other related engineering fields, with 5-10 years of experience in the design and development of consumer products.
2. More than 3 years of experience in product structural design, capable of independently undertaking development projects, and experience in developing IoT-related products is preferred.
3. Proficiency in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, sensor, and other circuit designs is an advantage.
4. Familiar with user-centered design and development principles, and knowledgeable about various prototype manufacturing methods and concept validation techniques.
5. Proficient in using a CAD design software (Creo preferred).
6. Good communication, coordination, and project management skills.
This is a full-time position. Some domestic and international travel is required.
