Job Type :

  • Part-Time Hourly Nonexempt Pay Rate : $13 / hr Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8am-4 : 30pm CT The Excel Center Evansville Southeast offers a competitive Total Benefits Package that includes retirement, a 25% discount at our 14 regional Evansville Goodwill stores, and is eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).

What You’ll Do :

  • As a Childcare Attendant, you'll play a vital role in supporting families by planning and leading age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development through play, creativity, and learning.
  • Your responsibilities will include supervising and engaging with children during play, assisting with meals and snacks, helping with hygiene routines, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, and ensuring the overall safety and well-being of each child.

    • Your key responsibilities will include :

  • Creating a Nurturing Space : Offer a comforting, safe, and inviting environment where children can flourish as their parents participate in classes.

    • Engaging Activities :

  • Plan and facilitate fun and educational activities that support children's growth and learning, ensuring every day is full of joy and discovery.

    • Building Connections :

  • Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, creating a supportive and inclusive community.

    • Maintaining Organization :

  • Keep the childcare area clean, organized, and safe, ensuring a positive experience for all.

    • What You’ll Bring :

  • A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting families in achieving their educational goals.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for planning engaging activities and experiences.
  • Flexibility to part-time hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is a plus, but not required; we value passion, dedication, and a willingness to learn.
