Operations is critical to delivering exceptional services to our clients. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operations Manager.
As a Senior Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in managing day-to-day operations, optimizing efficiency, and driving strategic initiatives to meet organizational objectives.
Operational Leadership :
Oversee and optimize all operational activities to ensure smooth and efficient processes including a team of operations coordinators.
Implement operational strategies and initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Provide effective leadership and management for the operations team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork within the operations department.
People Experience :
Contribute to the national development of materials and playbooks and implement learning and development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of operations team members.
Identify training needs and facilitate training sessions, both in-person and virtual in conjunction with national Project Excellence Office teams for People Experience and HR teams.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the operational team is equipped with the latest knowledge and skills.
Drive a culture of continuous learning, performance feedback, and career development within the local teams including understanding resources available such as career framework, career development resources (employee / manager), and Workday resources.
Business Intelligence :
Utilize business intelligence tools and analytics to drive data-informed decision-making within operations. Including : financial (revenue / CI / AR), utilization, WIP, client satisfaction, business development, client satisfaction, etc.).
Report and measure key performance metrics and use dashboards and reports to monitor and track operational performance in alignment with national key performance metrics that align with firm and client measurements.
Conduct analysis of operational data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business intelligence insights into actionable strategies and process improvements.
Risk and Safety :
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies provided by PDS HSSE lead.
Encourage good catch and near miss reporting programs and include Safety monitory in dashboard reporting.
Collaborate with teams to promote awareness of CMO and incident reporting policies and investigations.
Encourage knowledge of risk management processes, including identifying and assessing operational risks, and implementing controls to minimize their impact.
Report status of Risk reviews, manage regular cadence of Risk status update and partner with PEO team to ensure dashboards and risk reviews are being reported on a monthly basis.
Process Optimization :
Identify process inefficiencies, bring national awareness to help solution and implement measures to optimize operations, improve productivity, and reduce costs.
Contribute to the implementation and documentation of best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality of services.
Best practices should be shared with COO and other teams to be leveraged widely.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance operational effectiveness.
Technology Integration :
Identify opportunities to leverage technology to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with PMO and JLL-T teams to evaluate, select, and implement technology solutions that support operational objectives.
Drive the adoption of technology tools and systems, ensuring proper training and ongoing support.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and automation within operations.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, business administration, operations management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the construction management, project management or architecture field.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
Proven track record in driving process improvements, operational efficiency, and performance optimization.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex operational challenges.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Experience in learning and development, business intelligence, risk management, process optimization, and technology integration.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
