Job Title : Safety Manager – Steel Erection

Location : Fort Wayne, IN

Pay : $30–$35 / hour + $120 / day per diem

Schedule : 50 hours per week

Duration : 6+ months

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager for a long-term steel erection project in Fort Wayne, IN . This is a full-time role with 50-hour work weeks and per diem offered for qualified travelers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety, specifically in steel erection or heavy structural work.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee site safety for all steel erection activities
• Conduct daily safety meetings and job hazard analysis (JHAs)
• Enforce OSHA standards and company safety policies
• Perform regular safety audits and inspections
• Investigate incidents and ensure proper reporting and corrective actions
• Work closely with site leadership to maintain a safety-first culture
