Payroll Specialist Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Austin, Texas. In this contract-to-permanent position, you will play a critical role in managing payroll operations for a growing workforce while ensuring compliance with government regulations and union agreements. Responsibilities :
- Process full-cycle payroll for weekly and bi-monthly schedules, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
- Manage multi-state payroll operations, adhering to varying state regulations and requirements.
- Handle payroll for over 500 employees, maintaining compliance with union dues, health and welfare benefits, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Oversee payroll functions related to government and federal contracts, including Service Contract Act and prevailing wage requirements.
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now to efficiently manage payroll tasks and employee data.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, including union and non-union agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll discrepancies and resolve employee inquiries.
- Support payroll processes for a growing workforce, currently at 170 employees, with potential for further expansion.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and generate reports as needed for audits and internal reviews.
- Assist with implementation and optimization of payroll-related systems and tools, such as NetSuite.
Requirements :
Proven experience managing full-cycle payroll processes for large employee groups.Expertise in multi-state payroll operations and adherence to state-specific regulations.Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and other payroll systems.Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, including union dues, collective bargaining agreements, and prevailing wages.Previous experience handling payroll for government or federal contracts.Ability to process payroll for over 500 employees with accuracy and efficiency.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in payroll operations.Strong communication skills to work effectively with employees and internal teams.
