Senior Litigation Counsel

Chubb's New York City House Counsel Firm, Eustace Prezioso Yapchanyk & Yang is seeking an experienced and skilled litigator for the position of Casualty Attorney. The Casualty Attorney will handled a caseload of the firm's matters throughout New York City's state and federal venues.

The candidate must be an attorney licensed to practice before New York's state and federal bars, should possess a minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated success in litigation, at all stages, in a wide range of New York tort matters, and should possess the professional stature and business acumen needed to be a productive member of the firm.

Specifically, the candidate should posses :

• Expertise in litigating cases involving premises liability, construction site accident, elevator accidents, motor vehicle accidents, products liability, industrial accidents, municipal liability, contractual indemnity, wrongful death and complex medical and economics damages.
• Expertise in depositions, substantive motion practice, oral argument experience, witness preparation, and trial experience.
• Knowledge of procedural practice in both State and Federal Courts (pleadings, discovery, motion practice)
• Advanced oral and written advocacy skills, with demonstrated track records of summary judgment and / or appellate success a plus.
• Knowledge of the substantive law applicable to New York tort defense litigation combined with advanced analytical skills to address complex legal issues
• Strong commitment to effective communication with clients regarding litigated matters, including consistent adherence to time-sensitive formal reporting requirements.
• Technological competence and savvy to work in an all-digital environment.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently, especially in a high-volume environment
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
