A client of Insight Global is seeking a skilled Power BI Developer & Automation Specialist to support the reporting and dashboarding needs of a dynamic Data Engineering initiative. This role will be instrumental in enabling data-driven decision-making through the development of interactive dashboards, and integrated reporting solutions. The project includes platform transition, chat flow integration, workflow automation and transformation support, requiring a candidate with strong analytical, visualization, and automation capabilities. The pay rate varies based on years of experience between $50-60 / hour.
Key Responsibilities :
o Candidates must possess the ability to read, interpret, and communicate data effectively to help make informed decisions, identify patterns, and solve problems. Having an interest in and the ability to know the source of the data, how it was collected, and its purpose will go a long way in serving well in this role.
o Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
o Translate business requirements into technical specifications and visualizations.
o Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and user-friendly design.
o Collaborate with Data Engineers to integrate data from various sources (SQL, APIs, cloud platforms).
o Support ETL processes and data transformation pipelines for reporting readiness.
o Implement automation solutions using Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, or other relevant tools.
o Streamline reporting workflows and reduce manual data handling.
o Assist in migrating reporting assets and data models to new platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).
o Ensure continuity and performance of reporting during and after transition.
o Support integration of chatbots or conversational interfaces with reporting tools.
o Enable real-time data access and insights through chat-based workflows.
o Work closely with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Business Analysts, and Stakeholders.
o Document processes, data models, and dashboard usage guidelines.
