Senior Civil Engineer

AECOM  is seeking a  Senior Civil Engineer based in  Los Angeles office. This role will be responsible for performing engineering activities to support planning designing construction maintenance and alteration of buildings highways bridges airports dams tunnels water / sewage systems power plants and transportation system projects. Includes estimating and determining feasibility based on analysis of maps / aerial photographs soil composition terrain hydrology geology and environmental impact studies.

Join our dynamic team supporting exciting projects! This role will be supporting LA28.  With an unprecedented scope well support full delivery of the venue infrastructure program for the Games featuring 50 sports 800 events and more than 15000 Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Beyond our role with LA28 weve been trusted to move the citys infrastructure forward across the energy transition water security mobility sports education public safety climate adaptation and carbon reduction.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staffs specific area of expertise.
• Approves and signs off on work.
• Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
• Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
• Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
• Participates in development of technical proposals.
• Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
