Job Title : Project Engineer

Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer with a specialized focus in construction to join our dynamic team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion.

Your expertise will ensure that projects are executed efficiently, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong technical background in construction engineering.

Responsibilities :

Project Management : Lead and manage construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Coordination : Collaborate with architects, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities, resolve issues, and ensure project milestones are met.

Technical Expertise : Apply engineering principles and best practices to analyze project requirements, develop engineering designs, and provide technical guidance throughout the construction process.

Budget and Cost Management : Develop project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-control measures to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints.

Risk Management : Identify potential risks and challenges associated with construction projects, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues to minimize project disruptions.

Quality Assurance : Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure construction activities meet industry standards and client expectations.

Compliance : Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, building codes, zoning laws, and safety standards throughout all stages of the construction process.

Documentation : Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, change orders, and other relevant records.

Progress Reporting : Prepare regular progress reports, status updates, and presentations for project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and achievements.

Team Leadership : Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Proven experience (5 years) working as a Project Engineer in the construction industry, with a strong track record of successfully managing complex projects.

In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as relevant building codes and regulations.

Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6, Procore, or Microsoft Project.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Leadership abilities, including the capacity to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project objectives.

Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Engineer license, Project Management Professional certification) are a plus.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in construction practices.
