We're seeking a hands-on Controls Technician to join our 1st shift team. This non-production role plays a key part in keeping our operations running safely and efficiently by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and implementing electrical control systems that meet USDA, HACCP, GMFP, and company standards .

Essential Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, rebuilds, and equipment projects.
- Design, develop, implement, and supervise electrical control systems for machinery and process equipment.
- Collaborate with the Plant Engineer and Maintenance Managers to plan and execute electrical and control-related goals.
- Provide electrical and programming troubleshooting support for all plant equipment and processes.
- Assist the Project Coordinator in developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- Build, wire, and install electrical panels and components as needed.
- Manage controls documentation and assist in developing SOPs for plant equipment and processes.
- Design and maintain HMI systems (FactoryTalk View ME / SE, PanelView, PanelView+).
- Participate in HAZMAT and Refrigeration Support activities as required.
Qualifications
Experience in PLC and HMI programming , including RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, FactoryTalk View ME & SE, PanelView, and PanelView+.Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with PLC and VFD systems.Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical .Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Advanced computer proficiency, including networked / server environments.VB programming experience a plus.Licensed Electrician (or actively pursuing licensure) preferred.TIG welding to food-grade stainless steel standards is a plus.Performance Metrics
