Management And Program Assistant
Serves as a Management and Program Assistant in Technical Operations.
This job is open to current or former competitive service federal employees. Current excepted service federal employees are also eligible. Applications will be accepted from preference eligibles and veterans who are honorably discharged from the Armed Forces after completing at least 3 years of continuous active-duty service.
E-Band: Provides administrative support to supervisors, managers, and other employees in managing the office's administrative functions, which may include several of the following areas: fiscal management, travel, management information systems, contract administration, property management, procurements, and overall office management.
Performs basic and routine tasks in support of a professional, technical, or specialized occupation under the general direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced employee. Provides support to supervisors, managers, and other employees in managing the office's administrative functions, which may include several of the following areas: fiscal management, travel, management information systems, contract administration, property management, procurements, and overall office management.
F-Band: Incumbent performs the same at E band, to include a combination of routine and multiple and varying assignments in support of a professional, technical, or specialized occupation under the limited direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced employee. Assists managers and other employees in day-to-day operations and may act as a lead for other support staff to coordinate multiple assignments. Provides guidance to lower-level support staff members for handling routine problems and issues.
US Citizenship is required. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents). Security Clearance is required.
To qualify for this position at the FV-E level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to FV-D, FG/GS-3-6 level. Examples of specialized experience include Experience in the performance basic and routine tasks in support of administrative program; utilizing automated systems to maintain data; and supporting the office in scheduling meetings; typing correspondence; providing standard information on administrative policies, personal property and travel administration.
To qualify for this position at the FV-F level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to FV-E, FG/GS-7/8 level. Examples of specialized experience include: Planning and managing the office's daily administrative functions; maintaining automated systems to record, reconcile, validate, and track data; identifying and resolving discrepancies; performing various analytical studies; interpreting and providing guidance; and performing multiple and varying assignments in the areas of financial support, personnel matters, personal property, and travel administration.
