Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner – Level 3 or Level 4 to join our Tactical Space Systems Division team. This role will be located in either our Gilbert AZ or Dulles VA facility.
The selected candidate will partner with the business to develop and implement solutions and deliver exceptional Human Resources (HR) support in a challenging and dynamic business environment.
In this job, you will :
Serve as the business partner and consultant to internal customers, including : organizational and staff development, performance management, employee relations, compensation and reward and recognition.
Diagnose organizational needs and develop practical, creative and / or innovative solutions to increase team and organizational performance and advance the business strategy.
Organize, prioritize, plan, schedule, and execute BU / Division / Sector / Corporate HR projects / initiatives.
Lead bench talent reviews for Directorates within the BU; consult with leadership to define meaningful development experiences for identified critical talent.
Coach leadership on creating employee individual development plans (IDPs), share Northrop Grumman talent and career resources available, and partner with leadership to solicit cohort development program nominations.
Analyze and present employee survey data / key themes to Directorate leadership teams and partner with leadership to identify actions that address employee survey priorities and drive change. Advocate inclusion and engagement in driving performance.
Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition organization on forecasting resource needs and ensuring a strong talent pipeline.
Consult with leadership on delivering continuous performance and development feedback through quarterly connections with employees. Consult leadership on development and execution of an integrated approach and strategy on performance improvement (performance coaching, employee discussions, disciplinary actions).
Train leadership and consult on performance measurement and compensation input. Prepare for and facilitate pay for performance sessions with BU leadership teams.
Coach leadership on effectively responding to employee relations concerns. Advise leadership on managing employee and management performance and conduct. Perform investigations and partner with leadership, ER Center of Excellence (COE), legal, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Train leadership on performance and conduct process, tools, and approaches.
Review out of cycle promotions and salary adjustments. Conduct compensation comparisons in partnership with Compensation COE and consult leadership with regards to recommendations for promotions, adjustments, leveling, offers and incentives.
Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Consult with leadership on continued business resumption efforts.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3 :
Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, Labor Relations, Business or a related field with 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist professional experience implementing HR programs and processes – OR – Master's degree in HR, Psychology, Labor Relations, Business or a related field with 3+ years of progressive HR Generalist professional experience implementing HR programs and processes.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 4 :
Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, Labor Relations, Business or a related field with 8+ years of progressive HR Generalist professional experience implementing HR programs and processes – OR – Master's degree in HR, Psychology, Labor Relations, Business or a related field with 6+ years of progressive HR Generalist professional experience implementing HR programs and processes.
Additional Basic Qualifications for both levels :
Demonstrated consulting skills; to include the ability to analyze data to define the root cause, design practical, creative and / or innovative solutions, and ensure solutions are effectively implemented.
Experience in project management, prioritization, continuous improvement and process improvement thought process.
Demonstrated ability to perform complex professional tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with strong relationship building skills.
Proven track record of building collaborative partnerships as the basis for being able to influence direction and drive change.
Proficient in Microsoft office product suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
No clearance required to start.
Preferred Qualifications :
PHR (SHRM-CP) or SPHR (SHRM-SCP) certification.
Experience using Workday HRIS.
Experience in a Manufacturing and / or Engineering environment.
Experience in a matrix organization with a large customer group (500-1000).
Salary Range : $78,700 - $136,800
Salary Range 2 : $98,100 - $170,300
