Assistant Director, Fundraising & Partnerships

Minimum Requirements : Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 7 (Salaried)

Position Description : The Assistant Director, Fundraising & Partnerships, will identify, cultivate, and solicit major gift prospects for the University of Louisville Athletic Department to help support the Cardinal Athletic Funds Major Gifts initiatives. The Assistant Director, Fundraising & Partnerships, will be responsible for the achievement of assigned fundraising goals as determined by the Assistant Athletic Director, Development. The Assistant Director, Fundraising & Partnerships will perform all job functions with a high degree of professionalism, and must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, including oral and written. Display a high degree of initiative, creativity, accountability, and dependability.

Job Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies which include building, managing, and solicitation a portfolio of major gift prospects.
• Solicit and secure donations of $10,000 or more to help support capital projects, annual scholarship requirements, sports-specific needs, and other projects.
• Execute premium seating and suite sales for both Football and Basketball.
• Achieve fundraising and premium seat / suite sell goals set by the Assistant Athletic Director of Development and the Associate Athletic Director, Development.
• Manage a portfolio of an estimated 250 donors.
• Assist in the cultivation and stewardship initiatives of our entire major gift donor base and the individual portfolio through special events and invitations.
• Local travel required to visit donors and attend off-campus meetings and events. Some overnight out-of-state travel may be required.
• Ability to work a non-standard work week, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight travel. Must be able to attend and work all home Football and Men's Basketball games.

Preferred Qualifications :

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
