Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Surgery Scheduler to coordinate and schedule surgical procedures efficiently and accurately. The Surgery Scheduler serves as a key liaison between surgeons and patients to ensure timely care, proper documentation, and smooth surgical workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule surgical procedures in coordination with surgeons' schedules and OR availability
  • Answer inbound phone calls and respond to patient leads, inquiries, and scheduling requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate pre-op testing and required documentation
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Monitor surgery schedules for changes, cancellations, and rescheduling needs
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, billing teams, and external facilities to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate's degree preferred)
  • Minimum [1-3] years of experience in medical scheduling, surgery scheduling, or healthcare administration
  • Strong sales background with the ability to upsell and build lasting patient relationships
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Must be able to work between the hours of 10AM - 7PM (schedule can be subject to change depending on clinic's needs)
