The Regional Sales Director (RSD) plays a crucial role in driving sales growth, enhancing profit margins, and formulating strategic initiatives by collaborating with field sales management and sales representatives within the designated region.
This position involves developing and executing corporate objectives, strategic plans, and marketing initiatives that support the CONMED product portfolio. Your primary goal will be to establish, implement, and monitor quarterly outcomes through effective business planning, strategy execution, and performance management of both districts and sales agencies.
You will also oversee contract management for our independent manufacturer's representative agreements and work closely with the Healthcare Solutions team to assist in the development, communication, and execution of Integrated Health Network (IDN), Regional, and GPO contracts.
- Lead the sales organization in your region to achieve the company's overall business objectives and strategic goals.
- Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, competitors, and strategies employed by key opinion leaders (KOLs) and important customers.
- Manage the regional sales team to create strategic account plans and cultivate strong collaborative relationships.
- Guide and direct the region to meet sales and marketing revenue and margin objectives.
- Supervise eight sales representatives across diverse territories, including Rhode Island, Connecticut, Hudson Valley, and New Jersey.
- Oversee the regional expense budget to ensure effective financial management.
- Develop and implement annual marketing strategies with innovative ideas to boost sales, catering to the specific needs of key decision-makers. Deliver presentations to influential stakeholders, including surgeons, hospital officers, and senior staff.
- Collaborate with internal teams to guide talent management and the training and development of essential resources to optimize corporate resource allocation.
- Maintain open lines of communication regarding orders, quota achievement, and the proposal pipeline with Senior Management.
- Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.
