Java Mainframe Developer

Overview

GovCIO is actively seeking a skilled Java Mainframe Developer to maintain, enhance, and update vital applications that support the background investigation processes of the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA). While previous experience with legacy or mainframe technologies is not mandatory, candidates must be enthusiastic about learning these essential skills. This is a full remote position.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will be part of a dedicated team supporting the DCSA's Background Information Systems (BIS) and case processing applications. Your role will encompass the following :

• Design and code applications according to specifications using required tools.
• Maintain and modify existing software applications.
• Analyze detailed system factors, including input and output requirements as well as alternative problem resolution methods.
• Perform modifications and maintenance of operational programs and procedures.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.
• Create and update program documentation, operations documentation, and user guides in line with established standards.
• Resolve software issues and consider suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Collaborate effectively as a team member on projects.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience :

Clearance Required : US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a TS Security Clearance.

Posted Salary Range

The expected salary range for this position is USD $82,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 per year. Base pay may vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, and internal equity.
