Work Shift
First (Days) (United States of America) Sentara Health Plans is currently hiring a Health and Prevention RN for Northern Virginia!
This is aFlexi / PRN position with day shift hours!
Position has minimum of 4 hours per week with the opportunity to work additional hours!
This position requires participation with in person health screenings and vaccine clinics in the Northern Virginia area and occasional travel outside of the area
Should reside in Northern Virginia
Required Qualifications :
- RN License (Virginia)
- BLS Certification
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing or Non Degree RN Diploma
- Minimum 3 years experience working as a Registered Nurse
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in Community Nursing
- Experience in Health Prevention / Health Education
- Experience working with Diabetes or Cardiac Risk patients
Primary responsibilities include :
- Responsible for both individual and group education to promote core health improvement programs including smoking cessation, adult immunizations, heart health, cancer prevention and detection, and wise self-care
- Current knowledge of regional preventive health issues, managed care health improvement initiatives, and a variety of health improvement strategies is required

Job Summary
