The Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) is seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Assistant Engineer or Associate Engineer to join our Asset Management Unit. This role supports the long-term reliability and performance of the Agency's asset portfolio while minimizing total lifecycle costs. Education, Training, and Experience
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline, and :
Assistant Engineer :
Associate Engineer :
Typically, an Assistant Engineer is expected to meet the proficiency criteria within a 12 to 24-month period, depending on prior experience and progression in performing the full range of Associate Engineer duties.
Licenses, Certificates, and Special Requirements
A valid California Class C driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Agency\'s vehicle insurance program.
For Assistant Engineer, E.I.T. Certification is required within 12 months of hire. For Associate Engineer, E.I.T. Certification is required.

The Inland Empire Utilities Agency is a regional wastewater treatment agency and wholesale distributor of imported water to approximately 935,000 people across 242 square miles in western San Bernardino County. There is one vacancy in the Asset Management Unit. This recruitment is being conducted to fill one vacancy and will establish an eligibility list to fill future vacancies during the active status of the eligibility list.
Salary Range : Assistant Engineer : UN 179 ($8,582.52 - $10,456.94 per month). Associate Engineer : PR 182 ($9,934.86 - $12,104.52 per month). FLSA : Exempt. Probationary Period : 12 months.
