Urgent Care Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity in Iowa

A facility in northeastern Iowa is seeking a family medicine physician for urgent care coverage on a locum tenens basis. The assignment begins December 1, 2025, with three to five shifts per week available. Candidates must be board certified in family medicine and possess an active Iowa license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact certification.

Patient Volume : Three to four patients per hour

Setting : Outpatient urgent care clinic

Schedule : Three to five shifts per week

Clinical Responsibilities :

Evaluation and treatment of sprains, fractures, abrasions, contusions, and lacerations

Management of eye problems, headaches, colds, flu, sore throat, coughs, earaches, fever, and upper respiratory infections

Diagnosis and treatment of skin infections, rashes, abdominal pain, back pain, animal bites, urinary symptoms

Treatment of conditions involving the reproductive tract and infections

Experience Requirements : Urgent care experience required
