DR Power Customer Service Representative

Essential duties include answering incoming customer calls, actively listening and asking questions to understand customer needs, proactively making sales suggestions based on the discovery of customer needs, meeting or exceeding individual selling performance goals, explaining to customers how, when, and where products would best be suited, proactively asking questions to determine caller's needs, proactively recommending products based on the discovery of customer's needs, adhering to objectives established for call quality, adhering to the standards set for attendance and schedule adherence, conforming to all call handling standards, bringing important information to a supervisor or lead's attention, and staying up to date on products, product information, and training opportunities.
Minimum qualifications include 1-3 months of customer service or sales experience and / or training, a high school diploma / GED or equivalent, and basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include excellent verbal communication skills, meticulous data entry skills, customer service skills, time management skills, sales and upselling skills, the ability to learn and understand outdoor power equipment and its applications, and the ability to safeguard confidential customer information.
Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role based in South Burlington, VT is $17.50-$18.50. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short-term and long-term incentives. Physical demands include talking and hearing, using hands to manipulate objects or controls, standing and walking, stooping, bending, or reaching above the shoulders, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
