Overview :
The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications and are accountable to the supervising pharmacist who is legally responsible for the care and safety of the patients served by the pharmacy.
The Pharmacy Technician follows applicable standards and federal, state & local laws and regulations for the care and safety of the customers and patients served.
Qualifications :
- Education : Student enrolled in a pharmacy school recognized by the state of practice Board of Pharmacy or successful completion of the foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency exam.
- Licensure : Intern licensed by the state of practice Board of Pharmacy (or licensure eligible).
- Experience : Two years of work experience in a pharmacy is highly desirable.
- Skills & Knowledge :
- Basic computer skills
- Effectively communicates using the English language.
