About The Role

The Chief of Staff is responsible for driving both the strategic and operational success of the organization. This role serves as a key partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, overseeing day-to-day operations while also supporting high-level initiatives that shape the future of the company. By aligning operational execution with organizational priorities, the Chief of Staff plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, and growth of our healthcare facilities, including clinics and specialty programs, while advancing our mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, helping to set, communicate, and execute organizational priorities.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency, enhance patient satisfaction, and achieve company goals.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure execution of key projects and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure financial health; monitor expenses, revenue, and performance metrics.
  • Manage executive communications, including speeches, briefings, board updates, investor relations, and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders, department heads, and IT / engineering teams to streamline processes, resolve issues, and ensure scheduling / EHR systems meet organizational needs.
  • Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Anticipate leadership needs and proactively identify solutions to complex organizational and operational challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including HIPAA and patient privacy standards.
  • Lead high-level project management efforts, driving operational excellence and alignment across departments.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in healthcare operations, with preference for psychiatric or mental health settings.
  • Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, business management, public policy, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Previous experience as a Chief of Staff to a senior leader, government official, or within a healthcare organization strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams and overseeing complex operations.
  • Strong understanding of EHR systems and scheduling technology, with the ability to implement and optimize tools.
  • Exceptional organizational, political, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, writing, and public speaking skills; able to craft clear, compelling executive and stakeholder communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple priorities under pressure.

    Additional Information

    The expected base pay for this role will be between $80,000 and $100,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location and years of experience. Further, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Psychplus Health-sponsored benefits.
