We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a dynamic accounting team. This position plays a key role in supporting financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting across multiple business units. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical abilities, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Responsibilities :

• Assist with monthly financial close processes for multiple entities, completing tasks independently and accurately.
• Support daily operations within the accounting function.
• Prepare and post journal entries and complete assigned month-end closing tasks.
• Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate ledgers.
• Analyze financial data, including job costing, prepayments, and variance analysis.
• Compile and reconcile bank activity with the company's ERP system.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules across all entities.
• Provide audit support by preparing schedules and collaborating with external auditors.
• Partner with team members on process automation initiatives related to accounts payable, reporting, and metrics tracking.

This is a Permanent position based out of Kansas City, MO.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $75000.00 / yr. Bonus structure - 9% annually and paid out at 1% each Quarter Q1-4 and then the additional 5% at YE. Full benefits package and 5 different package structures to choose from + HSA Contribution Unlimited PTO 3% 401k match on 6% contribution.
