The Obsolescence Sustainment Engineer is directly responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of the End of Sale / End of Life (EOS-EOL) program on the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) system. The selected candidate will conduct analyses of the hardware and software in use throughout the enterprise to track, identify, and research End of Sale and / or End of Life conditions, then develop and present creative and thorough options to mitigate or resolve the obsolescence condition.
Frequent contact with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and cross functional product teams is required. These potential courses of action are presented to management, task order leadership, and the government customer for approval. The selected candidate will coordinate with impacted product teams to ensure understanding and full implementation of approved courses of action to resolve obsolescence conditions.
