Job description
A company is looking for a Clinical Pharmacist to support pharmacy utilization management initiatives within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Review and evaluate pharmacy prior authorization requests for compliance and medical necessity
Oversee day-to-day utilization management activities and guide pharmacy operations support staff
Conduct peer-to-peer clinical consultations and support the implementation of formulary programs
Required Qualifications
Current and unrestricted Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in good standing; Massachusetts licensure preferred
Bachelor of Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) strongly preferred
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience or completion of an accredited residency program
Managed care, payer, or pharmacy benefit management (PBM) experience preferred
Prior experience supervising or mentoring pharmacy support staff is desirable
