Overview

The VP of Field Marketing develops and oversees channel and product marketing strategies, executes sales campaigns, field events and programs that drive demand generation, pipeline growth and customer engagement in line with quarterly and annual sales goals. This senior role involves leading and mentoring the field marketing team, collaborating closely with the professional sales and product teams, managing budgets and analyzing data to optimize performance. Key responsibilities include designing consistent messaging across multiple markets and customer segments, ensuring alignment of marketing efforts with business goals, and driving effective lead generation.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Develop and execute channel marketing strategies and business plans in alignment with company goals and sales initiatives, focus on new channel development, new customer acquisition, and product category adoption.
  • Work closely with industry partners, buying groups and other trade associations to design and execute collaborative marketing and sales campaigns.
  • Build systems and processes for dynamic marketing campaigns to consumers and trades.
  • Hire, lead and coach high-performing field and channel marketing team members, creating a positive and productive work environment.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to monitor, manage and report success across new and existing channels with marketing metrics, sales measurements, channel and influencer sentiment.
  • Understand market dynamics and industry trends, including influencers in the market and how to position the Savant brand and products to support sales growth. Influencers in the market might include builders, lighting designers, interior designers, architects, engineers, etc.
  • Support sales teams from all channels in development and execution of field activities, including travel to key regions, identifying and supporting appropriate industry events, etc.
  • Manage marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI across programs and events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and 10+ years of technical sales and B-to-B marketing.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to interpret data, drive decision making and measure program effectiveness.
  • Ability to develop and execute short- and long-term strategies, translating business objectives into actionable marketing plans.
  • Strong knowledge of channel sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques, with understanding of the competitive landscape.
  • Experience building strong, collaborative relationships with sales teams, serving as a strategic partner.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including programming experience, Keynote proficiency, iPad / iPhone applications, webinar platforms, etc.
  • Ability to analyze and adapt business priorities
  • Self-motivated with an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule with ability for extensive quarterly / monthly travel.
  • Experience with ERP and customer relationship management software
  • Compensation

  • The base salary range is $150,000 - $175,000 + Incentive. The salary range listed is an estimate. Pay at Savant is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity. In addition to base salary, attaining your sales target qualifies you for additional compensation.
  • This is a direct-hire position with full benefits including : medical / dental insurance; vision plan; pet insurance; FSA / HSA; 12 paid holidays; permissive time off policy; 401k plan with employer match.
