Compass, Inc. , a progressive non-profit organization supporting people with developmental disabilities, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Training Coordinator to join our Learning and Development team. The Training Coordinator will play a key role in delivering high-quality training experiences, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting staff development through both in-person and digital learning platforms. Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor and ensure staff training compliance (Mandt, CPR / First Aid, CMT, etc.)
- Administer LMS (iCareManager / Elsevier), maintain accurate and timely learner records in LMS, and troubleshoot access issues
- Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions including Orientation, Mandt, CPR / First Aide
- Assist in developing eLearning modules using Articulate Storyline 360 and other tools
- Coordinate with external trainers and contractors
- Maintain accurate training documentation and support audit processes
- Create and manage training calendars and support company-wide training events
Key Skills :
Training Compliance & Coordination : Knowledge of DDA regulations, COMAR standards, and audit documentationLMS Administration : Experience with Elsevier, iCare Manager, and learner data managementeLearning Development : Proficiency in Articulate Storyline 360, Canva, and instructional design principlesTechnology Proficiency : Microsoft Office Suite, generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot)Communication & Customer Service : Strong written and verbal communication; responsive and professionalAttention to Detail : Accurate recordkeeping, deadline tracking, and quality assuranceTeam Collaboration : Ability to work cross-functionally and support a diverse workforceEvent Planning : Coordination of training sessions, retreats, and recognition programsQualifications :
4+ years in training coordination or related field (or Bachelor’s in HR, Education, etc.)Familiarity with LMS platforms and eLearning toolsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Familiarity with generative AI tools such as Microsoft PilotDemonstrated cultural competence and ability to work effectively with a diverse workforceStrong organizational and communication skillsPreferred : Experience in IDD field, professional certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP, APTD)Benefits :

Work location is currently hybrid with 50% remote but subject to change and may require increased office days (Beltsville location) in the future. Must be able to sit for extended periods, bend, pull, push and lift up to 40 pounds (lifting is infrequent.) Must be able to use computers (Microsoft Office Suites), telephones, fax machine, calculator, copier and other office equipment as needed. Must have reliable transportation.
