Position responsible for overall direction of the Volunteer department including personnel and volunteers that align with the hospital's patient care and customer service objectives.

Job Description

Schedule Mon- Friday

8 : 30am-5pm

Minimum Qualifications

Education : High school diploma or GED preferred.

Licenses / Certifications : (None)

Experience / Knowledge / Skills :

Two (2) years' experience in supervisory role.

Knowledge and ability to supervise and direct work force.

Strong organizational skills, knowledge of computers, record keeping and office procedures.

Principal Accountabilities

Interviews, trains, motivates and recruits volunteers to ensure effective utilization of resources.

Manages workflow of volunteers and employees.

Ensures requirements are met for mandatory continuing education and competency skills needed for volunteer growth and development which contributes to the success of the organization.

Ensures safe care to patients, staffs and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.

Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory / continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.

Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences. Models Memorial Hermann's service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.
