Avera is currently seeking a highly motivated Regional Director of Philanthropy with experience in major gift solicitation and program management.

Job Summary
- The Regional Director of Philanthropy is accountable for leading philanthropy efforts and partners closely with benefactors, constituents and other partners to support an assigned region of Avera.
- As a member of the Avera Philanthropy team, the Regional Director will develop relationships with capable constituents that result in multi-year philanthropic commitments.
- The Regional Directors primary focus will be on leadership annual, major and legacy gifts, campaigns and initiatives.
- The Regional Director will partner with members of Avera administration as well as Regional Council, campaign cabinets or assigned volunteers to lead philanthropic engagement and campaigns.
- The Regional Director may serve as the staff liaison to an assigned regional council.
- Moreover, the Regional Director is responsible for building enduring benefactor relationships that lead to philanthropic investment by managing a portfolio of capable prospects and existing supporters in identification, cultivation, solicitation, recognition and stewardship activities.
Education and / or Experience
- Bachelors degree required.
- Minimum of three (3) years fundraising, with experience in major gift solicitation and program management preferred.
Licensure / Certification / Registration
Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred.
