C-130J Production / Training Pilot
You will be a C-130J Production / Training Pilot for the C-130 Flight Operations team. Our team is responsible for conducting acceptance check flights of newly assembled C-130J aircraft. We are where the "Rubber meets the Road" for all new C-130J aircraft and capabilities coming out of our Marietta plant.
As the Production / Training Pilot your responsibilities will include :
- Pilot C-130J aircraft during production acceptance and functional check flights
- Pilot C-130J aircraft on delivery and ferry flights
- Pilot C-130J aircraft for engineering and experimental test flights to validate and verify compliance with FARs and military specifications, determine operational suitability, and conduct developmental test
- Perform as a C-130J instructor pilot for company and customer pilots and aircrew during syllabus training flights
- Provide classroom, simulator, and flight instruction for company and customer aircrew
- May conduct airshow demonstrations as well as demonstration flights with customers, government officials, media or other personnel aboard to exhibit C-130J performance, flying qualities and system capabilities
- Provide pilot input to flight test, production, engineering, training, customer support, advanced development and marketing teams
- Assist engineering and flight test with the development of ground and flight test procedures
- Review, validate, verify and update flight manuals and source material
- Participate in planning for requirements definition and Statement of Work development for C-130J testing, production acceptance, training, and engineering design support
- Participate in test plan development, test plan reviews, Safety Review Boards, First Flight Readiness Reviews and Design Review Boards
- Assist with the development of Temporary Operating Procedures and Aircraft Operating Limitations for flight test programs
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Basic Qualifications :
Pilot with at least 1500 hours total flying time in multiengine aircraftMust have at least 1000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) / Aircraft Commander flying time300 hours PIC time in transport type aircraftExperience as a C-130J pilotFAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificateCurrent or formerly qualified military Instructor PilotCurrent FAA Second Class or First Class medical or able to obtain within 30 days of hiringTop Secret Security Clearance or able to obtainDesired Skills :
FAA Licenses : Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) - Airplane Multi-engine Land o Flight Instructor (CFI) - Airplane Multi-engine and / or Instrument Airplane o L-382 or L-382J Type RatingCurrent and qualified as a C-130J Instructor Pilot or Flight ExaminerKnowledgeable / qualified in C-130J Block 8.1 and / or Block 8.1.1Engineering and / or experimental flight test experienceExperience in courseware development, platform instruction, simulator instruction and in-flight instructionExperience in writing and / or reviewing technical publicationsExperience with C-130J Tactical Operations and / or Special OperationsExperience with AFI 10-220 / DCMA INST 8210-1 and contract flight operationsCurrent or previously qualified to conduct C-130 Functional or Acceptance Check Flight (FCF / ACF) operationsExperience in legacy C-130 models (e.g. C-130H, KC-130T etc.)Graduate of weapons or tactics school, safety school, or advanced instrument schoolExperience as a C-5 or P-3 pilotExperience as a Tanker pilot familiar with aerial refueling operationsCurrent passportThis position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
