Supervisor - Accounting

Summary

The Supervisor, Accountingposition is responsible for revenue and cost validation, as well as performing month-end closing. In addition, this position will analyze monthly, quarterly, and yearly results and prepare various ad hoc reports for management and C-suites.

Responsibilities

• Month End Closing As Supervisor assist in overseeing the transactions on business segment for HMA, KUS, and Other Customers Manage the month end and year end closing process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements in a timely manner Analyze service completion data, decide revenue and cost according to accrual base, and apply to month end closing practice Validate revenue and cost accrual comparing to AR/AP contracts and service completion Post month end closing, follow up with reconciling accrued revenue and cost with actual invoices posted Routinely Conduct Revenue Recognition tests on every audit cycle to meet the guidelines set by Auditors Support Finance management to finalize financial statement with accurate financial results in compliance with K SOX, GAAP, IFRS, and Glovis corporate compliance
• Prepare P&L Analysis for Management Prepare month end closing analysis, and trend report per port for management meeting Must acquire understanding of GUS Business and work collaboratively with operation team to provide analysis Will analyze variances by: Actual vs. Business Plan, Month to Month Analysis, Month vs. YTD analysis Support management team, GKR, and Auditors with various reports or analysis Red folder Analysis - provide P&L analysis for customer/vendor contract updates or new business Utilize and update Monthly Power BI Reports as needed
• Develop and Implement system tool Ensure the accuracy of the analysis by tracking the various items (arrival, tender, allocation, ship out, and port stock transfer), head count, work hours, and workstation on a periodic basis Suggest better solutions to the management and submit CR for increasing accuracy of recognition of both revenue and cost
• Other Duties as Assigned

Compensation

• Approximately $78,000 - $88,000 per year(Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Skills

• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
• Detail-Oriented and Organized
• Proficient with PC skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, Power BI
• Good Accounting Knowledge/Background Preferred

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree Required
• 5 - 8 Years of Related Experience in Accounting and/or Finance Required
• 6 - 9 Years of Related Experience in Accounting and/or Finance Preferred
• 1 - 3 Years of Supervisory Experience Required
• 4 - 7 Years of Supervisory Experience Preferred
