The Manager, FP&A on Nickelodeon\'s Content Finance team will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and forecasting of Nick\'s content investment across all platforms / segments (streaming, linear, and 3rd Party). The role will manage the detailed process of building and maintaining the Nick LRP programming slate for the annual budget, long range plans (LRPs) and monthly forecasts. The Manager role will regularly provide both high level & detailed causes of change to leadership. This position supports Nickelodeon Group (Filmed Entertainment) including indirect support to TV Media Planning (TVM) segment and reports to the Nickelodeon Studio Director and Senior Director, Content Finance. The role sits in NYC (Times Square) or LA (The Paramount Lot).
Responsibilities Maintain the Programming LRP for all segments. Track Nickelodeon content changes and understand downstream impact.
Input information into the programming model to calculate amortization expense (Gross Production Cost, Air dates). Changes driven by the business.
Manage all cost allocations by show and by asset with nuances (Filmed Entertainment, Linear Network, International, Paramount+).
Manage different amortization start dates and methods depending on genre, segment, and property.
Provide monthly variance analysis vs latest estimate, budget and prior year of programming expense. Communicate outlook results with explanations.
Calculate impact of programming useful life extensions for accurate forecast.
Leverage financial model to scenario plan changes to amortization expense based on updates to production cost, useful life or amortization curve.
Manage the annual budget and monthly estimate cycle for Original Programming and non-amortized programming. Review pacing for non-amortized expense with programming teams.
Review and sign off on Controller’s Group Programming Asset and Liability quarterly schedules.
Project setup and approval for Non-Amortized and Original Programming; establish balances.
Coordinate with international programming counterpart on cost allocation; initiate co-financing cost transfer.
Create ad hoc reporting as needed.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance
6 years FP&A experience, preferably in media
Understanding of basic accounting principles (debits vs credits, amortization expense drivers)
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.)

Experience in Longview, SAP and / or Oracle a plus
Background in entertainment or media industry a plus
