Job Title : Assistant Project Manager - Ground-Up Stick-Frame Multifamily
Company : NYC Based General Contractor & Developer
Location : Rockland County, NY (Local travel to project sites in Rockland / Lower Hudson Valley)
Compensation : $90,000 - $120,000 (based on experience)
Work Authorization : U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only

Position Overview
The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager and Superintendent across both office and field operations. This role offers hands-on exposure to wood-frame superstructure sequencing, facade coordination, MEP integration in stick-frame conditions, and interiors through project completion. Clear growth track to Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day oversight of active job sites in coordination with field staff and subcontractors
- Support design reviews, drawing coordination, and compliance with NYC codes and regulations
- Contribute to preconstruction efforts including budgeting, procurement, and contract execution
- Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Coordinate DOB filings, permitting, utility connections, and sign-offs
- Monitor project schedules and identify potential delays or critical path issues
- Participate in project meetings, progress reporting, and requisition packages
- Assist with punch lists, TCO process, and project closeout
Qualifications
2-4 years' experience in ground-up multifamily construction, preferably wood-frame / stick-builtBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experienceFamiliarity with construction drawings, scopes of work, and subcontractor coordinationProficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and basic scheduling softwareStrong communication and follow-through skills; able to work independently and as part of a tight-knit teamMust have a valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to project sitesWhy Join
