Position Overview
We are seeking dependable and motivated individuals to join our production team as Yarn Leads and Finishing Leads. These roles play a key part in supporting daily operations maintaining production flow and ensuring quality and efficiency within our Tufting and Finishing departments.
Both positions require strong attention to detail the ability to lead by example and a commitment to safety and quality.
Yarn Lead : Position Objective :
Responsible for coordinating the ordering return and disposal of yarn for the tufting department as well as preparing merges and maintaining accurate inventory control.
Key Responsibilities :
Order the correct amount of yarn for each tufting machine based on production schedules.
Verify previous orders are closed before loading new yarn lots.
Return unused or non-defective yarn to inventory.
Identify and process nonconforming yarn for waste or reallocation.
Complete and maintain yarn merge checklists including samples and labels.
Communicate with scheduling and production teams to ensure smooth transitions.
Follow all attendance safety and scheduling policies.
Requirements :
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Prior manufacturing or tufting experience is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for long periods.
Must be available for weekends and 12-hour shifts as needed.
FINISHING LEAD
Position Objective :
Assist the department supervisor with daily operations and serve as a backup when needed to maintain production goals and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Maintain working knowledge of all coater department jobs to provide coverage and support.
Guide and direct line personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
Perform regular weight checks and quality inspections.
Provide on-the-job training and support for team members.
Fill in for the supervisor as required.
Promote safety teamwork and continuous improvement.
Requirements :
High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing or finishing environment preferred.
Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing bending and climbing stairs.
PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification preferred or ability to obtain.
