Contractor Safety Representative, Casual

We are seeking an individual to provide intermediate-level health and safety consulting services for a variety of clients within our team. This position will operate out of the preferred locations of our Nashville, Washington, DC, or Chicago office and will support and coordinate the health and safety projects for our clients nationwide.

This role will report directly to the U.S. Team Lead of Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health and Safety Consulting Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational health and safety (OH&S) consulting services for a variety of projects and clients
• Assist and support OH&S staff and projects domestically and internationally
• Assist in the development of OH&S-related programs and procedures, training modules
• Conduct OH&S compliance auditing
• Assist with project pre-job planning and hazard assessments
• Perform appropriate monitoring for weather, heat stress, cold stress, chemical compounds, physical hazards, and other work environmental conditions, and ensure appropriate protocols are followed to protect workers
• Promote occupational, health, and safety within the company with a goal of continuous improvement of safety culture both internally and with our clients

Capabilities and Credentials

Education and Experience

A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field

Minimum of five years of construction experience managing safety programs on large construction projects

Five (5) to 10 years of relevant field work experience in an occupational, health, and safety role

Travel may be required up to 80% of the time, mainly across the continental US, with potential for overnight stays up to 3 weeks.
