Senior Preconstruction Manager
Support the development of accurate conceptual and detailed cost models during preconstruction. Conduct comparative cost studies to evaluate design options, materials, and systems for best value. Identify opportunities for cost savings through alternate materials, methods, and sequencing without compromising quality or performance. Lead or assist in value engineering workshops and provide actionable recommendations to clients and project teams. Partner with the Director of Supply Chain to develop procurement strategies that leverage market conditions and vendor relationships for best pricing. Assist in early trade engagement and prequalification to ensure competitive coverage and qualified bidders. Assist in soliciting, receiving, and evaluating bids; analyze cost breakdowns and identify opportunities for negotiation. Track subcontractor performance data and maintain pricing history to inform future procurement decisions.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field required. Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive construction management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role. Proven success managing public works projects such as K-12 schools, higher education, or municipal facilities. Strong knowledge of public contracting laws, DSA (Division of the State Architect) requirements, and prevailing wage compliance.
