Part-Time Physical Therapist Richmond, VA 2024-2025 School Year
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of students' physical abilities and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals to address students' physical therapy needs.
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students, both individually and in groups.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' educational and physical development goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, therapy sessions, and other required documentation.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development and review of IEPs.
- Educate and train school staff on strategies and best practices for supporting students' physical needs.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and advancements in the field of physical therapy.
Qualifications :
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid Virginia state license in Physical Therapy.
- Experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
