Project Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Description :

• The Project Engineer helps define what the embedded control system will do.
• A customer needs an embedded system in a variety of applications and the Project Engineer understands what environment the control system needs to function in and leads the creation of requirements.
• This position will be responsible for the design, analysis, and maintenance of control systems for new and existing products.

The position will also be responsible for the management of engineering projects related to new control systems.

• Manage control system projects through all development phases, from System Requirements Analysis to System Integration & Testing, and finally to release to production.
• Assist in leading the Product Development Team, from various disciplines within the organization, to a timely completion of the engineering project maintaining product features that comply with the product specification while achieving project and product costs.
• Design new electronic control hardware, including schematic review, circuit board review, and various design calculations.
• Ensure the coordination of hardware and software development.
• Write control system documentation (e.g. hardware & software design specifications, hardware and software test plans).
• Evaluate hardware and software deviation requests and recommend changes for product improvement.
• Oversee the drafting of new products and product modifications.
• Write BOM’s (Bills of Materials) for new and modified products.

Additional Skills & Qualifications :

• 5+ years of experience working with embedded systems and of standard software languages including embedded C
• 2+ years recent experience specifying control systems with respect to system configuration, software logic, and electronic hardware design
