The MEP Intern supports the engineering team in preparing design and construction documents, coordinating details, and resolving general M / E / P and sustainable design issues. This role offers hands-on experience in drafting, engineering calculations, and research to identify and address conflicts within design documents, providing valuable exposure to M / E / P systems in a construction environment.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Assist in the preparation of design and construction documents, addressing general M / E / P and sustainable design challenges.
• Review and coordinate details and dimensions to ensure accuracy and constructability.
• Perform basic drafting tasks and compile engineering data from prescribed sources.
• Research and recommend solutions for design document issues, including conflicts, interferences, and errors.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project teams to integrate M / E / P systems seamlessly within overall project plans.
• Support the review and revision of drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with industry codes and project requirements.
• Assist in maintaining accurate project documentation to support project management, quality assurance, and regulatory adherence.
