Job Summary and Qualifications
Seeking a Medical Office Specialist for our practice who provides clerical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. Duties include working at the reception desk, answering phones, scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling patient appointments, checking in patients and properly documenting registration, insurance verification, filing and retrieving medical records, copying and faxing duties, and collecting co-pays and cash from patients.
Experience of less than one year is required, one to three years of experience is preferred. Knowledge of basic office equipment including copier, fax machine, and computer is required. Skill in dealing with interpersonal issues and customer relations is also required. Ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions, organize and communicate clearly, and maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information are also necessary.
