HBC Clerk

As an HBC Clerk, this position will be responsible for rotating, facing, and replenishing merchandise. You will review department status for cleanliness, product quality, and quantity. Additionally, you will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members.
Core competencies include partnerships, growth mindset, results orientation, customer focus, and professionalism. Reporting relations include accountability to the District Store Director, Store Manager, and various department managers. There are no positions that report to you.
Primary duties and responsibilities include :
- Providing prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service
- Smiling and greeting customers in a friendly manner
- Making an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name whenever possible
- Assisting customers by escorting them to products, securing products, making notes of customer suggestions, and performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience
- Answering the telephone promptly and providing friendly, helpful service
- Rotating, facing, and replenishing merchandise
- Reviewing department status for cleanliness, product quality, and quantity
- Checking in product, putting product away, and reviewing invoices
- Assisting with inventory as requested
- Maintaining displays in the department and throughout the store
- Ordering product when asked by supervisor
- Maintaining strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress
- Adhering to company policies and individual store guidelines
- Reporting to work when scheduled and on time

Physical requirements include :
Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; up to 20 pounds of force frequently; and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objectsVisual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of 20 inches or less, depth perception, and color visionAbility to perform the following physical activities : climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motionsWorking conditions include exposure to dust and noise. This is a fast-paced work environment with significant pressure. Equipment used to perform the job includes a ladder, C.A.R.S. ordering system, computer, register system, box cutter, scissors, hammer, screwdriver, and produce cart.
