Description : SUMMARY :
The Veteran's Services Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing specialized services for veterans and military-involved individuals as a component of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) model. Activities include coordinating services with the VA and other providers, implementing outreach programs, developing and leading support services for veterans, and organizing and facilitating community meetings within the CCBHC. This role focuses on providing individual and group peer support activities tailored to veterans' unique needs, ensuring access to comprehensive behavioral health services. The coordinator will serve as a key liaison between veterans, community partners, and the CCBHC to enhance the overall well-being of veterans.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Experience in event planning and management, in the healthcare sector / military preferred.
2. Demonstrated exceptional networking skills.
3. Demonstrated strong public speaking and presentations skills.
4. Must possess effective presentation and communication skills; the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.
5. Highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility and the ability to converse with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
6. Structured, organized, and proactive; ability to review, investigate, implement corrective action and follow through as appropriate.
7. Advanced MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills are required.
8. Excellent analytical skills problem differentiation skills and has a solution orientation that focuses on problem resolution for the long-term sustainability of the agency.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Armed Forces Veteran
3. Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field is preferred.
4. Experience working with veterans in a supportive or outreach capacity is preferred.
5. Experience with peer support programs, especially those focused on veterans, is highly desirable.
6. Must have and maintain a current, valid NM driver's license. Must also have and maintain a clean driving record as well as auto insurance.
7. Must be over 21 years of age
8. Have or ability to obtain and maintain a State of New Mexico Criminal Records Clearance (DOH CRC).
